Tough Minnesotan … part II

This is what happens when …

freezing1.jpg

a. the garage is not yet cleaned out and this is tonight’s weather forecast …

Clear. Lows 20 below to 25 below zero. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Wind chill readings 35 below to 45 below zero.

b. you need to take a “road trip” traveling about 150 plus miles (one way) tomorrow and you should really have the car in the garage in-case it doesn’t want to start.

c. you talk about cleaning out the garage in October but never finish the “talking”.

d. you are a master procrastinator who isn’t afraid of a little “16 degrees below zero” Minnesota cold.

  1. Is all that stuff going in the house or the barn?? Wow.

  2. Actually, it goes all sorts of places. It does look worse then it actually is. Over half of that pile is empty egg cartons that people have saved for us. The stuff that actually belongs in the garage gets piled in the corners. :) In the spring we are putting up some shelves (at least that is the plan) so it shouldn’t get this “full” again.

  3. So I’m guessing E….all of the above. Funny how you can have so many buildings on a farm and all of them full of “stuff” and yet, if you live in a city, you can manage to cram it all in to a single house and maybe a garage. I too fight with egg cartons for storage space but it’s necessary because there is nothing worse than having eggs and nothing to put them in so they don’t get smooshed.

It’s not that cold here in NE yet…but I know it’s coming. Stay warm!!
