Garden 2010

We planted most of the garden today.  And by we, I mean Farmer Neal spent about 9 hours planting and I spent about 9 minutes taking pictures.  That good farm wife status I had pretty much went out the window with the arrival of the farm kids.

Plants are popping up quite nicely and the garden is a bit less “huge” this year.  It is still big, 120 feet x 50 feet is available.  Currently it is 80 feet x 50 feet.  This is smaller then years past which makes this farm girl very happy.  Especially since I spend so very much time out there like today.  Err … or not.  Actually, my garden time happens in the fall when the garden hits the kitchen … then I pretty much take over.

Here is “some” of the garden.  Lots of the plants are still too little to show very well.  Later in the summer I will give you a garden update … exciting huh?

~Potatoes~

~Green Beans~

~Peas~

~Green Peppers~

Also planted … just not shown ~ broccoli, lettuce, beats, squash, cabbage, carrots, onions, tomatoes, some misc. herbs & some flowers to fill out the rows.

There you have it … the garden of 2010 thus far … hopefully all of our Farmer Neals work pays off.

  1. I think our garden is about the same size as yours! Only mu hubby spent a good portion of three days planting… I probably should have helped him too. ;)

Cant wait to enjoy the fruits (veggies) of our hard working hubbies labor!

    Blessings-
    Amanda
