Quilt Katherine

Another baby quilt has been created in the stitching room.  And for extra fun … this one got to be pink!  It’s been a long time since a baby girl quilt was made with all those boys being born.

Girl colors were fun to use and there were plenty to choose from collecting dust.   I decided on flannel … always a soft option.

I had some super soft fleece that didn’t really match but I used it anyway.   I thought it might just add some character.

I also discovered that I didn’t have enough binding when I had one side left to finish so that side ended up with blue.  Which didn’t really match the two pink sides or the one white side, but I thought it would add some character.  Can you have too much character in a baby quilt?

But even with all that, I still think it’s pretty cute.

Welcome to the world Baby Katherine … we are so glad you are here.
