About Us!

Hello and welcome to Poofergirl’s Perspective.  I am so glad that you stopped by.  This blog is a little glimpse into the life of a new farm-girl and her new husband who is far from a new farm-boy.

Loren and I were married in December of 2006.  After the wedding we moved into Loren’s parents home on the farm … they moved out and we moved in.

We’re a couple of thirty-something Catholics that love our faith and have chosen to live the simple life built on service to one another and our community.  We choose to live this life to it’s fullest the best as we can and we journey together in love, faith, and joy.

We have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl Evelyn who came 8 weeks early and weighed in at 4 pounds 4 oz.   She came after losing our first child through miscarriage (which you can read about here if you would like).

March 12th, 2010 we were once again blessed with the arrival of our son Mathias.  You can read his story here if you would like.

We are blessed beyond measure and love our little life on the farm.

Feel free to stop by often and see what is going on as a new farm-girl learns the in’s and outs of living the simple life while raising two little ones.

  1. Hi.. Matthew told me to check out you website. You have great pictures of your family, your children are beautiful. He told me you could teach me how to can someday. I really like that. Well I guess I was wondering if you ever want to talk I like to get to know you. Peace

    • Hi Laurie! Thanks for checking out the blog and the compliments on the photos and our children, they are pretty great! I would be happy to teach you to can … though I think that Loren is probably a better teacher since he is a veteran compared to me. But it isn’t hard, so I am certain you would catch on. Thanks again for stopping by!
