Pizza Sauce 12 pints
Spaghetti Sauce 42 quarts
Applesauce 107 quarts
Apple Pie Filling 21 quarts
Yet to be completed is Apple Butter … time will tell when that is done but it’s definitely on the “to do with those winter apples” list.
When I lived in Ohio I made apple butter for a road side stand and cooked off about 35 gallons in a big iron pot over an out side fire, it was sealed in quart jars and then sold. Later for my own family use I made it in the crock pot and cooked it over night. The crock pot is not as messy as trying to cook it in the oven. All that canned goods make me hungry for fresh garden grown foods. We just planted tomato and squash last week, it is garden time in Florida now. Take it easy and get some rest when you can.
